Anyone know of one that fits? Even eTrailer is a "nope".......... Looked at the net, but those require you to drill 175 holes in your truck and that ain't happening.

Thanks......

They probably went out of favor when it was proven that you gas mileage goes down when running them. They mess up the factory designed aerodynamics of the tailgate.

Big rigs have also figured it out. That's why you see a lot of trailers with the big panels sticking out the back.

Ah thanks. I don't care about fuel efficiency. I have a fifth wheel with a goosebox and a truck camper. For the latter the tailgate is off, with the fiver it is always in danger. So I'm gonna leave it off, period. Like the tube gates because they are light and easy on off for when I have the fiver on and it will keep the tool tubs I have from leaving the scene........

OK, so this is done.... Got the actual dimensions of the various gates from Stromberg-Carlson and ordered the VGD-10-4000 The fit of the gate is excellent. The driver's side hinge worked with what came in the box. On the passenger side I had to remove the tube and replaced it with a hinge off Amazon..... Dorman 38649. Had to cut it down to a single hole and mounted that with a stout bolt through the gate. So far that's holding nicely, if it gets loose and starts wondering around on me I'll put a couple of tack welds on there..... Pretty happy with the end result.
