Loose Gray Plug in Glovebox

Hello all,
I took delivery of my 2500 Rebel on 11/11. I found the below loose plug in my glove box. Any thoughts on what it might be for?

My 2024 Bighorn has a plug for when you remove the tailgate but it looks different.
 
Well, from your pictures I do not see any pins in the connector. I’m gonna say It’s unimportant. My .02.
