Looking for wheel/tire advice

Hello, I’ve been running the stock 285/60r20 transforce tires on my 2021 2500 Cummins, factory night edition 20 inch wheels. Im looking to improve the ride quality for my passengers (wife and kids) while towing. I tow a 33 foot 9000lb travel trailer with around 900lbs or so tongue weight. I run air bags and an Andersen wdh.

Im looking at going to an 18 inch wheel and Im struggling to decide whether I need to stay in the 33.5 inch range or if I can do 35s. Im looking at the Toyo at3s so far. The wheels I like so far are a 20 offset, compared to the 54 offset on the factory 20s.

The goal is to get more sidewall to improve the ride feel for the girls, but I don’t want to get too squishy while towing. My current setup is very stable but harsh with the 20s. I never get sway or feel out of control in corners or high winds.

Any thoughts? Anyone regret going with 35s on 18s because it made towing worse? Or, am I worried about nothing?

Thanks for your help.
