I don't believe I've seen anyone do this yet, and with a 4x4 beach access trip coming up in August, I need to get on doing this, among other things. My goal is to mount it behind the grill so it does not stand out as much.

Looking at the Switch pros vs doing OEM switches, and will be adding rock lights, rear bumper lights and an ARB dual compressor as well, and I have figured all that out at this point, the front light bar is the last piece of the puzzle.

I was looking at this again yesterday. Got to thinking. maybe do 2 small light bars in the upper area of the grill. One on each side of the center support. I haven't looked at how to mount them yet. But that's really the only place i can see to do one. There is a big brace across the lower part.
Only issue i still see is the louvers behind the grill. Not a lot of room between the grill and the louvers.

Only other choice I can see is to cut a slot in the lower part of the grill and place one in there.
Or to mount it to the bumper with braces that raise it up to the lower part of the grill. I'd like to keep the lower opening open for air flow as there is a cooler behind that opening.

I don't have my truck yet, so this is just my understanding from the interwebs and not personal experience. With that disclaimer...
I think an on-grill is a better option for a Ram. First, removing the grill on the Ram is way more complicated than on a Ford or GMC and most Ram owners don't want to do it. Second, there is not a lot of space between the grill and louvers and high quality light bars are pretty deep. So I gave up on an behind-the-grill setup and will be going with an on-the-grill one like below, which really doesnt stick out far:

I've also spent a fair amount of time researching switches. If price doesn't matter and you just want the best, then Spod or Switch Pros is your best bet. I ordered the Voswitch UV100. From what I've seen on Youtube, it will do what I need for about half the price. OEM switches on a PW is a black hole only for folks that enjoy throwing time and money into projects.

Yep, the way that will allow a decent sized bar without blocking air flow/creating hood glare...depends on whether looks or performance is desired, I think performance looks good.

Any idea which light bar that is in the photo?
