Location of rear leds....

Was wondering if anyone has mounted a pair of led cube lights to that black plastic strip just below the rear bumper? It seems fairly firm to me and should secure them. What is your opinion?

Make an L bracket and bolt it with the bolts that hold the rear valence to the rear bumper
