So, hopefully my emission system problems are finally gone! Starting with the Service DEF system warning last year with the computer update from the recall to two false warnings followed by Service warning again last June with the def injector, catalytic convertor and particulate filter and both Nox sensors being replaced thought we were good to go. Until we weren't. In October right before a trip with trailer to the Smokey Mountains once again the warning. The new def injector plus a bad wire and connector in the wiring to the injector. Had to pay part of that, unhappily. Fast forward to this past February. Yep. New warning. Def sensor bad and of course it's part of the pump. Got that replaced within decent time and so far Cummins extended warranty has paid out around $8500 or so. Thank goodness for the extended warranty. Not much left to replace, knock on wood!! Other than the emission problems it has been a very good truck. I have noticed my MPG has dropped some which is probably related to resetting the module after the last service. Still not bad at 22 to 24mpg average driving. Towing 10K trailer runs 9 to 12 depending on terrain, weather etc. Safe travels all and luck with your Cummins emission experiment!!

Just noticed I clicked on the wrong year range forum. Sorry about that.

That's okay.

Your post and signature both were void of any information about which year vehicle you are referencing, so ya had me fooled at least.

Post body and signature are still devoid of any info we can use to definitively clean up the threads. I don't want to make any assumptions, so @bttravel PLEASE put the model year of your truck in the post or add to your signature.

You can also self report your thread and ask for it to be deleted if you are unable to do so yourself.
