The truck 2019 2500 Tradesman 6.4.

I added the Traxda 1” front spacer to the truck. Then added shock extenders a couple weeks later and got it aligned. I like the look but something about driving it just feels off. The steering wheel is still off a hair, although the alignment guys said he center it. Every truck I’ve had in the last 35 years I have leveled. This one just doesn’t feel right and I can’t not place my finger on why. It’s not doing anything crazy or driving terrible. It may just be me or in my head.

Has anyone been there like this before. After thoughts of a lift or change.

The steering wheel is extremely easy to center if you are not happy with it. Just loosen the collar on the drag link and turn it until it is straight and lock it back down.

I would also suggest aligning it to the Thuren specs (you can google that). A 1" space should not make a drastic difference in how the truck handles.

.

The shop I took it too is the one I have always been too. Use to be locally owned and now Raben Tire owns it. I have them the Thorne specs but they at first said it has to be done by factory specs. The alignment guy said he tried but could not get it perfect to the Thorne Specs, but was within tolerance. I don’t remember what he said the numbers were. It doesn’t handle bad at all, it’s just something I can’t figure out. It’s probably me, I’ll try to align the wheel and go from there.

Planning to take the spacer out tomorrow. Solid kit just never been in love with it from day two. Really got my eye on the Timber Grove reverse level bags. I have not talked myself into spending the money yet but it’s close.

Have you noticed a difference in ride quality? What's your reasoning for taking it off, as mentioned above it's very easy to center the steering wheel? Curious on your response, I keep going back and forth between this kit and the thuren 1" coils.

No I did not see any as far as ride quality getting worse. I did have to add shock extensions to my stock height Bilstiens. I would get a clunk when turning into parking lots. This went away with the extensions. Yeah I can fix the clock of the steering wheel but I guess my biggest reason is I discovered the reverse level and I do not want to go bigger than my factory tire size. The 275s don’t look bad with the 1 inch level but I’ve put it off and have made up my mind. My desire was only to level, not so much having a bigger stance or clearance.

Fair enough, are you going to sell your spacer? If so I am very interested.
