I found just a few references in here for dashcam installs (Interior Fuse Box Location thread) but wondering if anyone else has installed dashcams in their 2020 RAMs. Appears the fuse box isn't in the traditional under dash location so wiring to the rearview mirror may be the best option save the issue of the voltage output (isn't 12V).

Anyone care to share specifics on what dashcams they purchased and how they installed them? Much appreciated.

I run a Rexing V1 in my truck, and my wifes car, also i got one for my dad for Xmas a year or so ago, so far they've been the most reliable budget friendly dash cams I've used. I used a 12V to USB converter tapped into the rear slider power up in the overhead console.

There's a dash cam thread (among others) where I cover how to get IGN and BAT power into the cab if you have the AUX switches. Also how to use the pass-thru circuit to bring an AUX switch power into the cab.

I have a mini0906 (Veckle) that doesn't use batteries and needs IGN for run, and BAT for detection (motion, g-sensor) when the vehicle is off. I used the above mentioned method to bring power in and just ran the camera hard wire across the headliner and down the A-pillar. Sorry, no pics.

Are your dash cams holding up? Mine just die in the Florida heat
