Hey guys, somewhat new to the group, got my 22’ 6.7 Tradesman in June. I call it the ‘poor man’s night edition’.
Exhibit A:
I’ve been wanting to ditch the factory halogens since day 1. The light output is adequate at best. And I’m not a fan of the chrome in the bezel. I started looking at the night edition OEM adaptive projector LEDs.. however, although I am handy, I’m not that tech savvy and I’m a bit leery of using ALPHAOBD to program the BCM for them. I’d hate to screw it up and throw some codes unknowingly. Never used it, it’s alien to me..
I’m leaning towards AlphaRex Lux series at the moment.. Morimoto hybrid XB are another option I’m considering.. I’ve heard of some issues with XB premiums sequential led turn signals..
AlphaRex is plug & play, also somewhat affordable not to mention they look nice as well.. but are they better than OEM? I’d settle and get the OEM LED reflectors to simplify the instal and bypass the adaptive feature. The question is.. which ones emit a better pattern of light overall? Will Alpharex headlights last over the years in the elements like OEM?
Just curious about the overall quality of AlphRex headlights. I’d hate to have issues and wish i went OEM..
Thanks
