New member, first post, hope this is in the right area.

I have a 2019 2500 laramie with the led headlights. I just put led turn signals in and programmed with alfaobd and all that fun. Ever since i got the truck it has always bothered me that in running light mode on the headlight switch, the top and bottom white strips are on along with the amber led on the side, but the amber running lights where the turn signals are stay dark. I know the halogen housings have the parking light. I was wondering if this was something that can be turned on in alfaobd or if its a limitation of the design of the headlight housing?

Also is the wire swap the only way to turn off the signature lights/put them to drl or can they just be programmed?

Thanks in advance,
Silverwolf

There are two pinned posts at the top of this Modifications and Accessories page that contain info related to this very thing. One is the AlfaOBD thread, the other is the Links to Solved Sales Codes thread.

Neither of those pinned posts would answer his question...

I think there is something in the AlfaOBD thread about that. I hate megathreads like that, good luck finding info in there, especially without the ability to search a thread. It's like the government warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Except that it does. He specifically asked about turning on/off the signature light function, which the discussion on that begins in this linked post (#136) and continues for a page or two.

Thats a whole lot of pages to sift through to find that little bit of info lol

I tried following that thread and did a couple of the changes mentioned. It didn't work for me. Don't know if it was because I hit the wrong thing or what.

to clarify, i'm looking for two things after reading around:
1) turn off the signature lights above and below the led reflectors
2) if possible have the amber running/park lights like a halogen reflector housing.

I've seen a few different options to change the signature lights but nothing about the running lights.

Could both of these problem be solved with turning the led headlights off and halogens on in alfaobd or would that cause more issues than it would solve?

especially when it quickly evolved into getting the 360 cam working..

Not that it answers the questions being asked here, but in case it is helpful, you can search within a thread.

When you are within the thread you wish to search, click the magnifying glass and then change the parameter to "This thread" and it'll restrict results accordingly.

Thanks for that. I looked all over for that functionality at the time and couldn't find it. I wonder if it's new or if I was just blind.
