Oh I certainly do believe in self defense.
Another of one of my beliefs is that if you go into an area of social unrest with a loaded weapon, you got a few screws loose.
The kid went there asking for trouble, and he certainly got what he asked for.
That being said, my issue is this topic on the HD Ram site.
In other words, its got nothing to do with trucks.

Forum to discuss anything else, sports, home renos, etc so maybe do not visit this part of the forum it is easy to do.

This is the OFF TOPIC forum, boomer. Relax.

And for what it's worth.. your argument about the Rittenhouse case is a valid one. Was it a smart move on his part to be there? EDIT---Probably not--although it's pretty well documented that he did some volunteer work that others werent willing to do (graffiti removal, basic first aid administered to strangers, etc).

However, he was fully justified in the actions that unfolded that night, as ugly as they were.

I think it's brave going into a dangerous place to help protect a business, people in need, and to clean up vandalism. It's too bad these mobs destroy communities and run off those trying to help. It would be crazy to go into an area like that not armed to the teeth.

Opinions vary and I do respect that.

Its shocking that this was even brought to trial given the video that everyone saw early on.
