Will a magnet damage my key fob? Thinking about hiding an extra fob somewhere on the frame or body. Thanks

Last week My wife’s Ford Explorer fob got pulled out of her pocket at work and flew into a mri machine, actually stuck to the inner wall of it. She pulled it off and it still functioned normally. She also had small building entry fobs on her keychain that did not get erased. I know it’s not apples to apples but figured I’d share the story.

No a magnet wont hurt it
