Key Fob Alternatives?

@Jimmy07 I figure that you would be the one to know this. Are there any alternatives to the key fob? Like a smart card, or smart tag or Phone as a key? I see that for the 2025 Tungsten trim, they have the smartphone as a key option.

I haven’t heard of anyone making one of our fobs into a smart card or tag.
For the phone as key option, our RF Hubs aren’t capable of the Near Field Communication or Ultra Wide Band that makes that happen.

I mean, I’m not one to shy away from retrofitting something, but that one would actually be impossible. Not only because of the different vehicle line and IMMO issues, but the 25 1500 has a whole different new canbus architecture (so that means even the 2019-2024 5th gen 1500 owners won’t be able to retrofit most of the 2025 features).
