New to Forum and have searched for this info but was unable to find anything.

I have a Kaodtech Bypass that I ordered for my 2020 Ram 2500 when I got it last year. But I have also recently purchased a 2018 Ram 2500 and was wondering if the 2019+ cable will work on the 2018.
I know his website requires you to choose when ordering. But was wondering if anyone had success using a 2019+ on 2018 or even a 2018 on 2019+, that should provide the same answer.
Wouldn't think there would be that big of change between the years. The location of the CANs did change so maybe the 2019+ is just longer leads?

Thanks

Is the 2018 an HD, or 1500? It will work on a 2018 HD. On the white connector that plugs into the the green block with white base, you’ll need to shave off this key way- B555149E-C73E-40C8-AAD4-09AD14060D69.jpeg
This connector will then get plugged into the canbus block on the 2018 that has green connectors.
If it is a 2018 1500, it won’t work because it used an entirely different canbus IHS connector.

The 2018 is an HD. Gotcha, so they just changed the type of connector on one of the CAN leads.
Thanks for the info. Didn't want to spend another $55 if I could use on both HD's.
