I'm excited to start our towing journey so we can move our camper with ease. It'll be a major improvement from the V6 Pathfinder we were towing with before.

Any suggestions on things to check out or watch out for as my truck ages? Also any recs on any aftermarket upgrades that'll help the truck stay strong for years to come?

Thank you!

You didn’t say how many miles your 2015 6.4 has.

However, I would change the coolant and all other fluids and filters as a starting point unless the dealer/previous owner did.

And enjoy it.

I “downsized” to a 2017 2500 6.4 this spring and they are a good towing engine, at least better than anticipated.

I changed all the fluids out (still need to do brake fluid) and the truck drives well. I am still trying to diagnose an oil overheating issue, but haven’t spent too much time on it. Otherwise the truck works great for one with 156K miles on it.

Got one of the last available Mopar 66RFE transmissions installed in our 2016 PW a year ago. Live off a 21 mile long steep grade with up to 10%. 5.8K feet of continuous elevation gain. Towing a 9,995 GVWR trailer our 6.4L it would rev near 5K for miles and miles. The engine did great, but this isn't a good test track for the transmissions. We tow now with a AS69RC in a 3500.
