Is it OK to Mix Different Brands of Oil ?

I have some Rotella 5w 40 and some left over Amsoil 5w 40 (both synthetic). Is it OK to mix them to do a oil change ? It would probably be 60% Rotella to 40% Amsoil or is
there some chemical negative I don't know about mixing the 2 together.

Shouldn't be an issue. They may have different additives, but the base oils probably the same.

I find the Rotella quite bitter with fruity after tones.
