All,

Now that I got my 2022 2500, I tried using my trusty ipod classic with it, but no avail, it doesn't get recognized. It worked perfectly in my 2019 with uconnect 4, so is this something that is already known?

Yes, I know it's 2022, but for some reason uconnect frequently loses the database for my USB drive and has to rebuild it frequently. But that's another story...

Thanks!

I recently stumbled onto my old iPod and thought it would be a nice change of pace to listen to some of my old playlists while I'm on the road. Of course my 2022 RAM 2500 doesn't recognize it when plugged into either of the USB ports.

I have heard of folks using a Bluetooth tx/rx device to listen to an iPod in a newer vehicle - can only use the ipod to control music, not the truck and you have to keep the transmitter device charged.

I wonder if there is something out there that doesn't need to be continuously charged and use the on screen interface to control the music on the iPod.
It would be nice to still be able to use my iPod as long as it is still working

I've given up on trying to get the iPod working. It is, after all, pretty old tech.
I since have a phone with enough memory in it and transferred all my music there. That connects to Android Auto in the truck anyway, and so I use a media player on AA to play music.
Works very well. Phone hardly uses energy even when not plugged in, and I can control the music from the dash and the steering wheel buttons.
