Coming from the Jeep world... The Jeep guys have getting a good deal down to a science on the forums. They have a list of dealers in certain parts of the country who are offering UNDER invoice pricing on the JL and Gladiator. Is there anywhere with this kind of information on the Rams? I am looking at a 2500 Hemi 4X4, and I'm willing to travel a little for a great deal. Yall have any insight? Id like to find a dealer somewhere in the southeast for a Tradesman or Base PW.
Thank You

I contact the internet department for local dealers. That's it. You'll very quickly see who's willing to deal. I've seen vehicles with dave smith plates on them here, they drove all the way to idaho to get their vehicle when you can get just as good a deal here. Internet departments. Don't just walk on to a lot and start browsing. That's the first mistake.

There is a thread on 5thgenrams about it. Sorry I don't have the link but I found it searching for "employee pricing". Kim at Superior in Conway Arkansas was able to go well below invoice, also Craig at Koons Tyson in D.C.

Dennis Dillon, Kernersville, and Dave Smith are the first that come to mind. If you're looking for a volume dealer thats gonna cheap sell you a truck with no concern of your experience, those are them. Check out eBay, if theres a dealer flooding their inventory on there, thats probably where you wanna go.

I just bought my second truck from a Larry Miller dealership in Phoenix and they seem to be the same. The so-called "sales manager" brought out the invoice as soon as we sat down and we started negotiating from there. I started $5k back of invoice and we settled at $4k below invoice. (+ TTL, +doc, +$399 tint). I feel like I got a great deal and it was relatively painless, but it's been 3 months and I have had zero follow-up. Which is fine with me, but dumb on their part. I even told the guy to keep in touch, my next purchase might be a Hellcat.

It seems the truck I want is hard to find on a lot... Im looking for a Tradesman 2500 4X4 with the Hemi, chrome package, trailer brakes, tow mirrors, and level 2 package with black cloth/carpet without the cab marker lights. Has anybody got a deal by special ordering? Im searching within about 500 miles of here (Jacksonville FL) without many results using AutoTrader. Is there a better method of searching?

Just order it. I've ordered several new vehicles over the years as I can never find exactly what I want. Pretty easy to get invoice on a special order.
Or just be patient and what for what you want to show up.

I would be curious to know what dennis dillion will sell for on a special order. I know the discounts for vehicles already on the lot but orders are often different. I can get 1% below invoice with my work discount but i'd want more.

I also got a great price at Larry H Miller in Surprise,AZ Carol Krecker is the internet fleet saleswoman and does a great job...as far as their paperwork department...they are not so great...they are still working with my credit union to pay off old truck and I've had my new one for almost 2 months now!

Elk Grove Ram in CA has the same pricing as Dennis Dillon. It's great for me because they're somewhat local.

Dennis Dillon has the same great pricing on a truck you order and one on the lot.

11.5K below MSRP seems pretty good! Is it a truck with a bunch of options? I wonder if they ship trucks out? Is that silly to ship a truck?

Right now, I'm about $11.5k below MSRP. I don't know if the have a rate they always use. Hopefully there are some incentives when I pick it up at the end of July.
Thanks. I don't even look at or negotiate from MSRP. Only invoice. So i'm trying to see if they have a hard precentage off of invoice. When I got my truck, anything on the lot was 6% below invoice.
Dealers love to tell you about the thousands you get off MSRP but it's really just a arbitrary number, inflated to make the discount look good.

there's not a standard rate. i'm dealing with them now, and have been forawhile on a few different builds. here's some real numbers.... on a build that i had at 82550, they discounted that to $72200.00. on a build i had at $75155.00, they discounted that to $65,690.00. i have a few others ,too. what i was told was that the more expensive the build, the more room they had to discount. hope that helps.

do mind me asking what build you got?

fair warning about Dennis Dillon, folks. they are upfront about asking for a nonrefundable 1k deposit....however, i was blindsided when i was asked to put down a $2500 deposit because of the build i chose at the last moment. it had to do with the fact that i built out a fully loaded longhorn with a hemi engine. if i flaked out on them they were scared that they would be stuck with a truck they couldn't sell as fast. being not a diesel and such...

look, i have a problem with a non refundable deposit of any amount. however in this case, being that this was a truck i was sure i wanted and that their pricing was lower than any other dealer i talked to, i gave in. the 2500 was put on me by a sales manager, not my salesman ....and i could tell by his experience, their deposits never varied. needles to say i wasn't happy about it.
