Instrument cluster screen staying on?

I was out walking the dog at 4am today and noticed a glow from my truck - the instrument cluster screen was on and telling me how to turn the truck on. Has this happened to anyone else? I've never noticed this before but I'm assuming it's not standard behavior. When I shut the truck off and leave, it goes to this screen and sits there after the door is closed and locked. I took a crappy picture of that state below. Shouldn't the screen turn off at that point? I'm bone stock, no mods or obd trickery yet.

I thought of that. For one of my tests I put the fob up by the house, maybe 20 feet away, and walked back to see and it was still on. Now, I could have maybe not waited long enough or something, but I guess my question is - what is normal?

Yes, I do, and the passenger side has been flaking out on me (getting stuck, complaining about obstruction when there aren't any) so I'm a bit extra-sensitive. Turns out it must be the fob proximity as just now I left it in the house when I went outside and the screen was indeed dark. Sigh. I'm sure it's all described in the manual. Commence roasting!

I've always had that problem also. My fob is about 20' away in the house but every time I walk by the truck with out fob, it comes back on briefly. It's like that truck can see me, hahaha. Than the wife sat in the truck yesterday evening reading a book while I was waxing part of my house and she said it would keep coming on, I told her it's when she moves, I don't really have a clue, but I'm paranoid anyway and now my truck is watching me too

I left the running boards in the deploy mode one night camping so they wouldn't keep going up and down. Noticed the dash light on like you explained put the the running boards in the retract position light went away go figure.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear this. Please let me know if you plan on visiting a dealership for this concern. I would be happy to open a case for you.
