Finally got around to trying to install my MOPAR camera rearview mirror on my 2023 Ram 2500 HD Rebel. Got the part numbers from Jimmy07 - thank you!
Since I had a sunroof and I couldn't just route the cable straight to the front from the CHMSL, the best way to go about routing the cable was going to be dropping my headliner. I had become friends with my local tint and detailer who did the tint and Icon Rockclear on my truck, as well as a few other vehicles between my Dad and I, but their original bread and butter is automotive interiors. They do tons of custom interiors for resto-mods, hot rods, and boats, as well. AI Autoworks in Round Rock, Texas - highly recommend this shop! They offered to drop the headliner for me, let me route the cable, and then they put the headliner back up. Took maybe 20 mins to drop it and maybe 25 mins to put it back up. That's what happens when you have someone who knows what they are doing. Will work on the AlphaOBD update next.
Here are the pics I took with the headliner down. I used black 3M duct tape and went along for the most part ran the cable where the existing cable was run. I also installed a FITCAMX 4k dashcam at the same time, since you have to drop that piece by your mirror. Highly recommended! Works well and the quality of the video both at day and night is excellent.
