Insight CTS3 Edge - Stuck at logo boot screen

Well after accidentally causing a low battery voltage issue… (thanks auto on headlights… stupid ECU, if ignition and lights are on too long and battery voltage is low, shut down at least the lights sheesh), my CTS3 failed to startup completely and just sits at the logo screen now.

Checking with Windows I see the usb storage drive does not properly mount either so likely low voltage corrupted it while starting up. Did all the forum tricks I could find over the weekend and still stuck at loading screen.

Our of warranty so had to do a paid RMA, will post back how it goes. I’ve come to rely on this thing so much I had driving the truck without it.

Well unit came back repaired. Notes indicated they had to replace the “LCD screen” which I suspect is the main board as the screen was just fine before “display wise”. Still good to get it working again. Did have to perform an update once I got it home so they don‘t ship it with the latest version after repair it seems but not a big deal.

If I ever get a low battery situation again on the truck, I’m unplugging the CTS3 until the battery issue is resolved. Don’t want to pay another $150 USD plus shipping there.

Now to get it all set back up again.
