Happened to be looking at the DEF tank level gage while driving. It was between 1/2 full and 1/4 full when the tank level suddenly dropped rapidly to empty in about 5 seconds time. When it hit the start of the red area (below 1/4 full) I got the DEF low message and when it hit empty I got the speed limited to 5mph in 200 miles refill DEF. It stayed empty for the next 6 miles and then slowly rose up to near the top of the red area (just below 1/4 full) and stayed there for about a mile at which time I got home and shut it off. Re-started it and it shows still just below 1/4 and I still have the speed limited in 193 miles message. No leaks noted (plus no way the tank could drain that fast unless I dropped the entire tank). Any ideas on the cause? I have not added any DEF yet.
