Hello all. The title says it all and I really hope I can find some help here.

My alternator went out on my truck roughly 3 months ago, but due to working construction and not being home much, I was finally able to get alternator replaced over the weekend. I decided to go ahead and replace the batteries as well.

Once everything was replaced and hooked up, I tried to start the truck, but I had several trouble lights show up and a rapidly blinking security system light. The gear/shift panel on the dash is also not lit up and the emergency brake is engaged. I tried to start the truck, but it wouldn’t do anything at all. The radio says “radio locked, set ignition to run”. I believe I’ve activated some sort of anti-theft immobilization system. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's some pretty sharp folks in the forum who'll offer you some great advice. All I got is try disconnecting the batteries again and reconnect after 10 minutes or so. Maybe a hard reset will cure what's ailing your truck.
Thank you, sir. I’ve searched for ways to perform a hard reset, but I haven’t had any luck. I will try disconnecting the batteries now and see if allows the computer to chill out lol. Thanks again

Disconnect the batteries and touch the positive and negative together to dis charge the capacitors.

Have you replaced the batteries in the key fob?
