Ignition on buzzing at rear of truck

If I turn the ignition on, but dont crank the engine over I can hear a buzzing sound from the rear drivers side of the truck. Seems to last 10 sec or so.
I presume this is the fuel pump?

Yep, In tank lift pump supplies fuel to the high pressure injection pump mounted on the engine.
