I had time this weekend at the campground to wax the truck for the first time. I have a 2020 3500 DRW that I bought about 3 weeks ago. I live in a rough climate for vehicles. I am in SE Michigan and they pave the roads with salt. I used a new product that was recommended by a detail guy from Meguiars. It went in very easy and came off easier. The truck sat a campground in the dust for 2 days until i got home today. I took a microfiber towel to the dust and it looks like i just waxed it again. Just trying to protect the paint before winter. It’s worth a try. I don’t work for Meguiars, I work for FCA building trucks and this stuff works. Thanks

Nice... I love Meguiar's products.
Been using the Ultimate wax with Fast Finish over the top.
Once of out of that, I'm giving this one a try.

And the M27 should be the same as their Consumer Hybrid Ceramic wax... just bigger containers.

Thanks . I have the quick wax too and will use that as a touch up. The M27 is more concentrated than the consumer Hybrid Ceramic Wax you can buy at parts store. I used it on windows and trim. It did not make the black trim white, it didn't stain. I was impressed.

Hey we are not perfect but we are making a good truck! I could not come close to buying a Ford or GM dually for what I paid for the Ram. I am able to get employee discount on all 3 because of family members but the Ram was the best by 7 grand. The Cummins is proven and with a 1000 ft lbs of torque it was strong enough. It's a Tradesman but optioned like a Big Horn. It had a 64435 sticker and without any money down, trading in my 2015 F350 with 185,000 miles getting 2 grand over what i owed, Rams discount and my discount, i got OTD for 54000. Not bad for a 1 ton, they give the 1500's away but not the heavy duty's.

I used meguiars hybrid ceramic wax last week on my truck. While it did a really nice job on the paint, it did leave streaks on the xpel film. I tried hand buffing them off but couldn't make them fully disappear. You need to look closely to see them, but they are definitively there. It also made the film appear darker while before the wax it truely matched the paint.
Don't think I will reuse that product.

With a wash once a month, my various "car wash and wax" elixirs work well. Since 1992, my 4 trucks paint has lasted well for 150,000 miles each. Wet a section, pressure wash the loose stuff, wash with a mitt, rinse well. Oh, and do it in the shade not in the direct sunlight. Too many people harm their vehicles by letting the wash stuff dry on the surface. I find if I read the directions on the product, things work out well.

Reminds me, I need to shop for more car wash stuff.

Wait until the M788 comes out.... The M27 is a 6 month consumer grade, the upcoming M788 is a 12 month prosumer level and an actual coating.
That is a standard ceramic coating, not a wax. If you go that route, that product is kinda late to the game right now, as graphene infused ceramic coatings are the new reference with up to 7 years claimed protection.

But not likely for sale to us prosumer level guys. These companies tend to desire limiting the best products to people certified.

Nope, they are available to anyone!

This one claims +5 years durability

And this one claims 7 years of protection. Available also on amazon but they sold out over there quickly.

I do get that there is always going to be a better coating or opinion. For me and the desired finish I wanted this M27 worked well. I will be interested in the M788 but for right now this will work. It is a relaxing experience for me to wax the the truck. I take my time, am very anal in getting the tough spots, and enjoy the finished product. I forget about work, life, kids, wife and enjoy wax on, wax off. I will do my bike with the M27 as it only sees rain when i get caught in it and sits for 6 months a year because of the crappy winters here in Michigan. I was not wanting to pay the 12 to 1600 dollars to have this done when if I have the product and read the directions I can do this myself.

Gotta love the "up to" statements. So if it only lasts 1 year, they still meet their goal? I am not sure what the Ford dealer put on my wife's car, but it was quaranteed for several years, not up to 'x' .

Wait... before going after that company... That is my wording. They actually claim "7+ years", not "up to 7 years".
I just wrote it like that as I am a bit skeptical. But that is just my opinion, not the factual truth as I have no way to verify!

I used the turtle wax hybrid ceramic. did two coats about 3 months ago for 12 months of protect. According to the YT videos, the turtle wax had good performance. But, I don't see it holding up another 10 months as described. I still have some product left and will be doing another coat this week to hopefully hold me off till spring...
