Hi - more or less new to the forum after picking up a 3500 Longhorn DRW w/ the HO Cummins to be our horsetrailer tow rig this past fall. Was daily driving a tuned 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS that was a screamer and great fun, but had become a maintenance nightmare. I've enjoyed driving our 3500 so much, that when a 2500 Limited popped up at the same dealer, I made a call to our sales guy and now it's my new daily! In the pictures on the website, I didn't care for the Pearl White as it looked quite yellow to my eye, but in person (especially here in sunny CO) it is what I'd call a warm white - looks classy imo. I'm blown away by how great this thing drives. It's no Porsche driving wise of course, but it has much better tech and is far more comfortable and relaxing than my GTS was. Anyone else come from a German car? I wouldn't be surprised if it happens more than one might think. My salesperson said he had someone trade a Macan on a Power Wagon recently as well. The dealer was Brandon Dodge in Denver - good to work with and walked out great value on the trade (very close to what I wanted private party) and both trucks at under MSRP. Without further adieu, pics of both attached

It’s hard to find a better driving car than most of your European cars but yes upkeep can be killer.

Nice trucks!!!

My wife's been driving german cars- Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-AMG, but whenever we take a road trip we're taking my truck. We both find the truck (current 2500 and previous 1500) to be more comfortable. The ride is plenty nice but it's mainly the elevated seat height and extra space that make for a painless long haul. Even running around town we always take my truck unless we're going somewhere where parking will be cramped.

Describes my wife and I perfectly. Only gone somewhere in her car if we are going to have to park in a tight parking lot.

Nice picture with the rainbow and nice color scheme on the RAM. Looks identical to mine.

We'll have the same set up here now too. My wife has a mid-size German SUV that we'll use when we have to venture to the city, but we'll be in the truck 90% of the time I'm sure!

Thanks - looks like you have good taste! Appears we spec'd them out the same as well. About a month after we picked it up, we towed a 25,000lbs horse trailer 2,200 miles round trip to Ohio and back. Couldn't have been more pleased with the truck - with the 25,000 behind it, it was smooth as silk and perfect stable. This is our first DRW (our previous trailers weren't that big) and we'll never go back to SRW for the long-haul / heavy towing needs.

Nice! I bought my truck from Brandon Dodge (back in 16'). They were much better to deal with (and willing to deal) then the dealers in the springs at the time. Mike Brashears (?) was who I dealt with, good experience over all for a car dealership.

For sure! Most of the other local dealers are asking $5k - $7k over MSRP for anything that's not customer ordered. Walked out about $3K under MSRP on both the 3500 and 2500. Got good value on our trades. Chris Clifton was my sales guy on both purchases.

I have a 2000 Porsche Boxster that is a great car ( maintance is actually pretty reasonable if you turn your own wrench). But it is hard to beat the comfort of a DRW 3500 turbo diesel. Always seem to be picking stuff up or going far enough to want the capacity if needed. Porsche is still a blast to drive but the Ram gets 95% of the drive time.

Very nice! The best of both worlds. I had a 2006 911 for a number of years and never had any issues with it. It ate rear tires like Kobayashi eats hot dogs, but that was to be expected. The Cayenne did not fare nearly as well unfortunately. Ideally, I'd have your set up with a fun car for weekend point a to point a drives, but right now, the family (read wife and daughter) horse hobby wins out. One day though, I'll add a true sports car back for fun. In the meantime, I couldn't be happier with this new rig!
