I’m going to sea for 5 years leaving behind my 2023 RAM 2500 6.7L in dry storage. Is there anything special I can do to persevere the truck so when I get back it will still run ?

I figured take the battery cables off the batteries. Top off the DEF tank and diesel tank and block the truck tires up off the floor.

Is that enough ?

Is the DEF fluid going to be an issue ?

Personally I’d sell it, or find someone who will drive it at least every 60-90 days.

Seals will dry rot in 5 years of no use.

DEF won’t last 5 years unless it’s in temperature controlled storage.

Sell it. It's a depreciating asset, and yours is too new.

When you get back, buy a new one.

Sell it or DRAIN the DEF and Diesel don’t fill it unless someone will be driving it once a month, things will seize like brakes unless in a humidity controlled unit. Plus you will need to jack it up and block the frame so the tires don’t get flat spots even though they may dry rot.

Thanks guys. It’s up for sale ☹️. I’ll get another one later if I need it. 16,500 miles near perfect going to be interesting to find out what it will sell for quickly ?

It sucks but its the best way.

Likely $50k? I don't know, but let me know what it sells for. I see new old stock ones (2024) similar MSRP for $58k.

Agree, selling is your best bet... considering it is 5 years, you'll do better financially selling now and buying a new one later.

Please use the proper forum. There's no selling allowed outside that one.
I'm just curious, where is the proper form? I see a for sale forum with part and accessories but never see a truck posted -- or maybe it's just rare and I haven't looked enough.

There's not a lot of vehicle sales activity.
