Today I hooked my 5er up to my Ram for the first time using the Curt Q20 slider w/pucks for the first time. I used to use an F350 dually Powerstroke with Curt A30 and above bed rails. Needless to say my little '22 Cougar 24RDS didn't even make that truck settle when I hooked up.
So, just before I slid under the kingpin I measured the distance from the top of a rear tire to the lip of the fender and got 10.5 inches. After hooking up and lifting the landing gear I measured again and it was 9.5 inches. So one inch of sag. This 2500 rides really high in the back anyway, so I'm not going to worry about one inch. I should mention I do have airbags for stability while towing but they only have eight psi in them.
Anyway, I got to wondering how much sag the various trucks and 5er combinations have when hooking up...
