How low does your rpm drop?

So I have been having an ongoing issue with the rpm in my 6.4 truck dropping seriously low then surging up to catch itself. I have had the truck at the dealer and the service manager was supposed to send the video to someone at Chrysler to see if they could help over a week ago. I still haven’t heard back, so I am asking here. It is getting to the point that I have to be very careful to leave enough room between the person in front of me. Today it happened in front of a state trooper. He didn’t pull me over, but gave me a questioning look. I almost wish he had pulled me over I could have taken the ticket or warning in to the dealer.

Here is a single frame from the video that my dash cam caught today. Yes I have a dash cam directed at the tachometer so I can possibly show why something happened. 0E6F035F-442C-416B-9B60-F759BEAD887C.png

Mine has died a couple times while backing up. Rpms drop low and it surges and sometimes dies.

Doesn't do it all the time. Never bothered taking it in. Don't have time really, it's my only vehicle and its my work truck.

Don’t bother taking it in unless they tell you there is a fix. Last time I brought my truck in and left it, it was 28 days. Not great when you bought it to use it.

Stupid question; have you tried changing the gas? Using highest octane, switch to a different station etc?

Yes, I tried 93 octane from 2 different stations. This comes after I was having problems with the transmission dropping to neutral, they pulled the camshaft to check if the dowel pin was partially sheared, then they changed out the fuel pump. Now it doesn’t go into neutral, but drops down very low then surges back up when the computer catches up.

I’m hoping someone has had the issue and gotten it fixed, because answers are slow coming through Chrysler.
