I have been driving a diesel HD truck for almost 30 years. It seems like all these newcomers don’t understand a diesel truck. When I started driving a diesel pick up truck diesel was $.89 a gallon.

…uphill to school. Both ways. In a blizzard. We get it.

No one who’s never owned a diesel surely shouldn’t be allowed to own one now.

Or am I misreading the context?

3 months.

I drove a Golf 2 Diesel. 1.6 liter Turbo, no intercooler. 70HP, downhill 100mph. She was happy with old old engine oil instead of Diesel fuel. Drove her for a year 2002-2003. Sold to my brother, he then sold the car to Africa. Probably still runs today.

Drove Diesel Trucks in the Military 1017 Mercedes
Then Semi Trucks, MAN and Volvo 420 and 460HP 40 metric tons, no DEF but black smoke. Drove UK, France, Germany all part time during engineering school, 2000-2003. Was a great time, I wish I could drive again.

Drive the Cummins since 1 year, about 12,000 miles. Not sure if I am the new kid?

BTW, I like the original post......it has something challenging in the question. hahahhah.

AG equipment / ’’she thinks my tractors sexy’’ tractors since 1980
Industrial equipment since 92 (bucket up-bucket down)
First pick-up 2005 Dodge Ram 5.9 three pedals.

Pa never owned a diesel that I can remember but I drove a few family friend's diesel trucks in the late 70's.

First one I was licensed to operate and maintain was an M109 maintenance van (Deuce and a half) in 1980. Course that was multifuel. We also operated the 60KW diesel gensets, and while I wasn't licensed to drive it, I had to back the 5-ton tractor trailer 52' computer van for the operators many times because only one of them, their team SGT, could back it.

First personal diesel was my 04.5 HO. This is only my second personal diesel. Drove the hell outta a friend's 94.

99 was the first I owned.. I've been back and forth . Last 3 have been diesel.. drove a diesel dump for work back in the late 80s..

01 for me. Bought a brand new, first year Duramax crew cab 3/4ton. Great truck. Had at least one diesel around ever since.

2nd diesel was a disaster though. First year Ford 6.0 PoSD, 2003, bought new. Figured if GM could nail a 1st year motor, surely Ford could, given that they had a much better diesel rep at that time. Wrong. Ended up lemon lawing that thing after a year

Gotta admit, that seemed a little condescending…

I was just being a smart ass. Lost in translation.
LOL... better a smartass than a dumbass. Not long before I retired from the USMC, my CO came into my office and looked at my desk - which had stuff strewn all over it. He said Top, did you know that a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind? I responded back to him, "Well then Major, what does your empty desk signify?" He had no answer, he just left.
