I shared the other day that I lost my 2018 to a auto accident a few weeks ago. Well getting that dually in the basement was tight even though I had a few inches to spare, with the sides. I'm wanting to replace it with a 3500 Laramie/ or Longhorn, with SRW with 20" tires.

Ram specs. for the 3500 SRW with stock 18" tires is 79.7" height. with the 20" tires I'm assuming the height would increase 2" to 81.7.

My basement door is 83" high. Has anyone with the 20" tires measured the height of your truck, or know how high your door is with this configuration driving inside.

Thanks

There is little difference in the tire OD. As the 20" tires have shorter sidewalls

I just posted this over on the other thread. The 18 and 20 is wheel size, has nothing to do with height.

The 18 inch stock tire is 33.1 inches and the 20 inch stock tire is 33.5 inches. So divide that difference by two...barely any difference that affects height, dependent on tire pressure also.

33.16 and 33.5

So .17 inch difference in height...under 3/16 inch more height
