Hotshot LX4

Anyone here using Hotshot LX4 Lubricity Extreme additive, to protect the CP4, until we get an actual recall?

I use the power service diesel clean as it is the only additive approved by cummins and i can pick it up instore

EDT all day long, actually has LX4 in it already. If you buy directly from them 1gal at a time it's crazy cheap compared to buying it on the fly. Ran out of it a bit ago and started using the white bottle power service anti-gel. Can't say I'm happy though the engine is noticeably raspier. Going back to EDT asap. My order finally came in. Used it since the first fill up, avg every other tank. 56k miles since July and not a single issue. You can hear how smooth the engine runs on EDT. Highly recommend. I also usually fuel at truck stops only.

I’m not. I’ll keep the pump well lubricated until that day/ year comes.

I use Hot Shots as well, I feel it is good stuff and I don’t worry about the pump either.

I have seen better results with xdp over edt. That would be the old style pump. Below is the new style. With the single dimple marking and other dimples below. The designation is the single larger dimple in the circled location. That is the only way to tell is if that single dimple is there the...
