Where does the factory 5th wheel prep wind up locating the king pin position in relation to the rear axle? I’m assuming you want it an inch or two ahead of the axle but I’m curious what you wind up with. Thx.

I have a 2020 3500 with the factory 5er prep and using a Curt Q25 hitch. I have not taken precision measurements but by just eyeballing it the kingpin looks to sit about 2-3” forward of the axle.

with the mopar 30k wich is the same as the curt. Eyeballing it. Looks to me to put king pin right directly over rear axle on mine. Right directly inline with stake pockets

Yeah you are right. I just climbed in the bed and looking down the pin ends up about right on top of the goose ball socket. Crawling under the bed the socket is lined up pretty well with front of diff.
