High Pressure Fuel Pump CP4 To CP3 Downgrade issue Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins

Well yes, but the ECM & MAF would still be dialing in or learning from that baseline flash, I'd think.
The MAF does not learn. Or atleast that was never a thing that I have seen for the last 3-1/2 decades dealing with fuel injection vehicles.

Correct, not what I meant even though it kinda reads that way.... Meant ECM learns, from many things including MAF. Why it's referenced as a MAF relearn is a bit misleading.

Diesels don’t have near the learning ability or requirement that gas engines do.

I had to change the battery in our 4Runner last night and was reminded that the short/long term fuel trim gets messed up when the computer loses power. It idles at under 500 rpms for a while while it relearns. The 242K miles probably help that out too.

Sorry for the crudely done meme, but it's the first thing that popped into my head after reading this comment.View attachment 82568
I mean its true I talked to a guy who was ready to shell out 5-6k on a DPF because google AI said it was bad, I told him he had an exhaust leak on the down pipe v band clamp, he tightened it up and no more issues. AI may be good for somethings but its gonna cost people tons of money and time for automotive issues, just like when someone asks about a mechanical issue on Facebook most people on facebook give terrible advice lol
