Hello everyone, sadly my mom’s husband passed away last year not long before Christmas. They bought their truck brand new in 2007 and are the only owners. They lived in Wisconsin but the truck was bought and used to pull their 5th wheel down south every winter and back in the spring. So the truck was not driven up north in the winters. That’s not to say it didn’t deal with typical rust issues these had. The wheel wells started to rust but he had that taken care of and then put the fender flares on. Also recently had the rockers replaced. Other than that the truck is stock.
I am reaching out to ask for opinions on the trucks worth. I am going to be selling it for my Mom. It’s a 2007 3500 Quad cab 4x4 SLT automatic transmission with the Big Horn package. It’s a 5.9l Cummins that is completely stock and 176,000 miles. It is not perfect, but it’s also not a rusty pile. It was smoked in though. We will be doing a deep clean in the interior with a steam machine and carpet shampooing. And I know the miles are fairly low for the year and that it has a lot of life left. Looking up values and similar trucks seems to be a bit of a crap shoot.
I am not trying to get a ridiculous amount of money, but I know these are desirable trucks especially with the 5.9L I am thinking of listing it for 20k or best offer. Does that seem reasonable? Too high, or too low? I would love some feedback. Thanks, here are some pictures of the exterior I have. I will not be actually listing for sale until next week. So this is not a sale listing.
