Help figuring out what steps to take to modify my order.

Today when 2022 3500 can be built on ram trucks website I noticed prices don’t add up to what I thought I’d be getting with my order 3 weeks ago. Ordered 3500 limited mega cab loaded with almost every option, so I thought. Called salesman right away yep level 1 wasn’t on it but tow technology was on the list well that automatically cancels out level 1. they didn’t notice when they submitted order 24 hours after I sat at dealer and put it together. So I need some help figuring out what I need to do and what the dealer can do to modify my order since it wasn’t all just my mistake not seeing sooner. They saying it’s to late it has a vin but hearing it can be modified with approval from ram corporate reps. It’s a small dealer and I’m sure they don’t deal with orders to often and I just want this to be fixed not mess up a deal and start over

Cancel it and go to a different dealer to order a new truck, if they want to play that game. They're being lazy about it... For that price, you better order the truck EXACTLY how you want it, because after those payments arrive.. you will be regretting it you didn't get the truck you wanted.

It's the dealers fault they didn't notice it removed the Level 1 package after adding the Tow Package.

They are trying to get it fixed because on their end they can just hit cancel it’s saying firm order they are reaching out to the sales rep

So far there is nothing I can do to change my order I have every option I want but the 17 speaker system. The boss at home says well good less money we have to pay it saved us some money off the price. I tried to tell her that’s not the point I told them level 1 I wanted the upgraded stereo and wish I didn’t need steering assist or adaptive Cruise to get the stereo system. I think the dealer put a check marked on the tow technology group and it kicked me out the level 1. I didn’t notice price because well when I built the truck on ram site it was a 2021 and it was close to same price so never even second guessed it till the site had 22 on it and packages where not the same. Conflicted ti keep pushing to reorder n they stuck with this one or making the boss at home happy for not spending anymore then I already did and just enjoy the truck the way it will come. It’s still a huge upgrade to my 2015 Laramie crew cab.

Honestly, if its just the sound system you are worried about thats an easy fix. Take it to a local audio shop and they can install a much better system than the OEM HK set up and I bet its cheaper too.

Their sales rep told them a firm no it can’t be changed.. I crossed my fingers but I’m glad I still got the digital rear view mirror and trailer surround camera. I just feel these options being way down the list neither of us noticed it took away level 1. If I let this go just for stereo and keep the truck when it comes in I won’t let them off to easy on final price for the mistake we both made that day

It is a 70K truck. Get what you want even if you have to cancel and reorder.

There is no canceling once have a vin their sales rep said they can’t cancel or change options. And the boss at home tells me we don’t need to spend anymore on a truck!! She says already $90k don’t need to be $94k

You’re focusing too much on the cancel or change order aspect. Just order another truck and have them transfer the deposit to the new order.

That's a pretty big screw up. I wanted the safety features so there's no way I would accept it without level 1

I wanted to reorder they don’t want that truck they saying they can’t ever sell a mega cab basically making me feel I have no other options. I’m still pushing them to get it figured out. Small dealer they offered me 4000 more then any other dealer for my trade then on top of it my woman supports we don’t reorder because she thinks it’s stupid to spend even what I ordered let alone adding more to it. Only reason this is possible to even get this truck us I get affiliate pricing and my 2015 Laramie is paid for and sold my Tahoe I had sitting around for down payment so 3/4 of it is paid for. So make the woman happy by letting it go and no arguing with dealer or fight both it really sucks to be me at moment

I would rather discuss with the dealer, no point in arguing with the wife....she will always be right.
