What does a guy do to preserve these shiny, grossly expensive headlights from exterior deterioration over time? Some kind of wax or what? Thank you.

I'm in process of replacing the "dumb" halogen headlights on my 2008 CTD. I saw what OEM LED projectors cost to replace on my 2024 and my heart missed a beat or two......

I have an order of LaminX film in the toolbox. Ordered for the Ram (2021 2500 BH gasser NE with premium lighting) but decided not to install it after the results I had on my Subaru. I put it on brand new replacement housings and got a little over 2 years out of before it yellowed on the edges and began to bubble.

I will sell it cheap if someone wants it…..

WeatherTech Stone Guards. Like a heavy guage PPF. I have put them on all my vehicles. Keeps the headlights from yellowing as well as protecting them from stones. I have them on my 2012 Honda and they are starting to dull a bit. However the headlights themselves are pristine. I will be putting new StoneGuards on the Honda soon to keep them looking good.

This stuff was invented for use on Air Force plexiglass windshields. Never tried it but always wanted to.
