I am wanting to add the skid plates but not sure if I can even get any. Not even sure how many there are. Anyone with info let me know. Thanks!

Aftermarket skids or factory skids? What skids are you wanting?

I don’t know what was available from the factory but I have a non-off road package truck with the “protection group” which added tow hooks and T case skid plate.

I’m looking for whatever is offered from the factory. I have no skid plates but I do have the front tow hooks. Is that the only skid I could get for it is the transfer case? Or are there others?

There are several of them on my '21 Power wagon.

Seems to cover most of the underside of the truck. I can crawl under there when I get a chance and take a few Pics for you.

Sure thanks! Wonder if they would bolt up to my 19 bighorn

The problem is the cross members. They are a part of the frame and can't be bought separately, or at least they couldn't on the 4th gens. If you can't find anything else check out asfir off road out of Israel.

Is that your truck? If so how do you like them?

Pretty sure the Protection Group/Off-Road group both of which my Cummins has, is just a TCase skid. I could see PW skids being more substantial.

When I added the Z-71 Tcase skid to my half ton Silverado it was just the skid and two self tapping bolts that went into preplaced holes. I would imagine the RAM would be similar.

So on the PW, there are 3 skid plates.
1 for the transfer case, 1 for the fuel tank, and one on the passenger side that covers the drive shaft and exhaust

And the cross brace bolts in.

The power wagons look to have a lot of protection under them. I’ll have to look on my truck to see if there are bolt holes for the extra plates and braces it has. Thanks for the pictures

That particular picture isn't my truck but I do have that plate and their DEF tank skid. Neither one of them have taken a hit but they do seem pretty substantial. They won't take the weight of the truck sitting on them but they will prevent anything from going up and smashing into the oil pan of the engine or transmission.

Ok so maybe the owners of 5th gens will get lucky? I'm finding the parts list as follows.

SKID PLATE. Front Axle/Transfer Case Part#68089777AB
CROSSMEMBER. Skid Plate Part#52121444AD
SCREW. Hex Head. M8X1.25X25.00 for transfer case skid need 3 (I believe) Part#06509896AA
CROSSMEMBER. Skid Plate. for fuel tank skid Part#68223429AB
SKID PLATE. Fuel Tank. Part#68196501AB
SKID RAIL. Underbody. Part#68197313AA
SKID RAIL. Underbody. Part#68213435AA
Used For: SCREW AND WASHER. Hex Head. M10x1.5x40. Mounting Part#06508724AA

Now for the unknown.
How many of which type of the skid rails are needed?
How many of which bolts are needed?

HMM.

There is no skid plate on the front axle, only the T case.

For the Skid rail, as can been seen in the pics I posted, you need 2 long rails and 1 short rail.

There are 2 cross members that bolt in.

I can climb back under my truck and get some bolt counts and locations and any other pics you may want.

Climbed back under to count stuff.

So there is a front cross member that is part of the front suspension.

There are 2 bolt in cross members for the skid plates, 2 large bolts on each side, 8 bolts total.

There are 2 long and 1 short skid rail.

The bolts for the 2 skid plates and 3 skid rails look to be the same. 19 of the smaller bolts total.

The gas tank skid plate has a built in bracket in the rear that bolts up to the frame. It looks like the bolts are the smaller ones so I included it in the 19 bolts.

OP: is your truck gas or diesel? CCSB, CCLB, or Megacab? Power Wagon things might not work if your truck is diesel due to different exhaust/def tank, or if it’s anything other than CCSB due to being a different frame, plus different driveshafts, fuel tanks, etc.
