2025 3500 diesel. Took truck in for second oil change and first fuel filter change. Truck would start instantly after start button is pushed prior to fuel filter change, now it cranks over for 4 times longer after you push the start button. Any ideas.

They should have primed the fuel system after the filter changes - likely they did not - just hit the push to start button to run mode (but don't start it) - you will hear it prime - once you hear the pump stop, turn it off - repeat 1 or 2 more times and then you should be good

Mine is doing this also. I did the change myself and primed the system. Not sure what’s going on.

I just changed my fuel filters on my 2025 and I primed it 5 times before trying to start. After that it started just fine. The next morning it turned over several times before starting. Idk what the issue is. No fuel leaks that I can see. I did use Fleetguard filters which is what I've used in all my prior cummjns

Before changing the filters, it would start instantly; after changing the fuel filters and priming, it would take several seconds/revolutions before starting three to four times as many as before the filter change. After driving it today and stopping/starting several times the problem is gone.

I had the same thing with my 25, after about a day of driving it, it cleared up and starts like it should.
