I have a 2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman with the 6.7 and 68rfe, i heard a noise in the front end of my truck when taking a sharp turn in a parking lot, sounded like metal on metal contact, took my truck to the shop to diagnose the issue and they said that the wheel bearing was bad, had them replace that and i got it back, it still makes the same sound, it also happens very faintly at around 35mph. im hoping to get more input on what the issue could be, any reply is much appreciated.

also, when i start my truck on the cooler mornings, there is a ticking sound, sounds like a lifter tick, but goes away after about a minute.

If you paid for a new wheel bearing and it still makes the noise I’d want the shop to explain why they wasted your money? Diagnosis over the Internet with no audio/video is pure guesswork.
As far as the tick goes, have you recently changed your engine oil? New oil seems to have to work in a bit and some “typewriter tick” is semi normal after a oil change.

i believe im just overthinking it, it drives and handles well and i cant feel anything in the wheel, as far as the ticking, i just changed my oil last week with 5w-40 t6

Ok a little tick seems to be the norm amongst most owners with a fresh oil change.

I have the same issue in my 2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman for about 2 months now.. Replaced both wheel bearings as well and its still there. A Low pitch drone or grinding sound when ever i make low speed tight radius turns. Seems like it is getting worse. Did you ever find out what it was?

I have the same issue with front end noise. Dealer replaced hubs but nothing changed. Now tell me it is normal. I bought the truck new…its not normal.

My issue has been resolved. Two months ago, I had borh differential fluids replaced at a local oil change location for convenience. They used valve line gear oil. Soon there after, the grinding started but only after the truck had warmed up sufficiently.

I asked a diesel mechanic to pull the diff covers to inspect for metal shavings. All gearing was fine. The mechanic refilled the diffs with OEM gear oil INCLUDING the required friction modifier wich helps with the internal diff clutches which were more than likely slipping and grinding without it.

The grinding during sharp radius turns has been completely eliminated.

I hope this helps other folks.

Also worth a check is the front drive shaft and yes i know in 2wd it should not spin but there is always some residual spin even with an open differential on a CAD system. The new rezeppa joint design is junk
