the one thing i liked about the banks setup is that top plate is replaced and it opens everything up. but man 200$ for this seems like its going the banks route in a way and feeding off the fear lol :) good find though for those looking for a alternative.

I think $200 for something like this is very reasonable, and as far as fear goes this haunts a lot of Ram owners and I guess its the kind of thing that you don't need it till its too late. I will probably do this when I find someone I can trust to install it.

The only issue with the install is the fear of ripping into your truck. the instructions are pretty spot on (Better then Banks imho). if you can follow the instructions, you can do this yourself. just block off a saturday as its not a quick job in the least.

Oh hell no! I can install a entire heat/cooling system duct work, mechanical etc. in residential/commercial construction being a retired HVAC guy but when it comes to auto repair, if you want broken or missing pieces and car or truck you never want to work again I'm your guy. I hate working on vehicles unless I'm cleaning them, funny I don't mind working with sheet metal. I guess Im a born tin knocker.

i understand that lol.

My friend was with me when i did mine and pretty much was there to drink beer with me, hand me tools, and just hang out. at the end of the day when we test fired it and took it for a drive, he looked at me and said "Man, im not going to lie, i was scared to death the entire time!" lol

I usually double tap mine but every now and then I’ll let it do its thing to clean the soot off from the EGR.

Does double tapping bypass the grid heater…I disconnected mine from the battery but if double tapping will bypass it I would hook it back up in case it’s needed.

Couldnt agree more. I get they need to recoup some of the R/D cost, but $200 is absurd for $10 in parts.

And then these US companies wonder why China is so busy.
