I’m about to install a new radio in the truck, and I’ve been leaning towards putting one of the Midland Ghost antennas on the driver’s side fender, as seems to be popular. I know the ghost antenna is already a bit of a compromise with it being short, but with the taller “Sport Performance” hood on my Rebel I’m concerned that I’ll be blocking even more signal.
Anyone used the above set up with the same hood and had good results?
Roof mount is out due to clearance for my garage (and I don’t want to drill a big hole), so it’s either the fender, a repurposed ditch light mount, or near a rear stake pocket on the track of my Retrax XR tonneau.
