Hi all, new to the site. I own a 2024 2500 CC Tradesman. Just wanted to post saying I just finished the jump seat to center console swap. I looked over a lot of threads on this site and got some good info and some direction. Wanted to just give my 2 cents and experience on it. I bought a used console and all the hardware off Ebay. It came in the exact condition that was quoted. With shipping it was about $1300. Could have probably got it cheaper but once you add up the screws, brackets and closeout panels it does jack up the price. I did have to buy 2 nut clips to insert in the dash to hold on the bracket. I bought a console that had usbs in the rear and since my jumpseat did not have that I was not sure how that would turn out. There is enough slack in the wires if you cut some zip ties and pull just a bit, so i was able to get away without any extensions. They do make extensions but luckily I did not have to go down that route. First inspection everything works great, even the usbs in the rear which is one of the main things i wanted from this project so the kid could charge devices on the go. As some have stated the front usbs stay on for about and hour after shut off. I dont think this will lead to battery or no start problems but we shall see. Overall I am very happy with the upgrade. I feel it was worth the money and gives the truck a great look in my opinion. And having power to the rear seats and still remain factory is great. If anyone has any questions please reach out. I am by no means a mechanic but this project was fairly easy and turned out great. And thank all of you for the info that was already posted.

Damn I knew I would get called out! Hahaha! I didn’t do a great job documenting but here are a few.

I am getting ready to put mine in. Just a quick question, where specifically did you have to install the nut clips at in the dash?

I have a 2022 2500 Laramie. Just swapped my console for a jump seat (had a 4th kid and needed the seat). Everything went well EXCEPT my front usb panel. There were two cables that plugged into it on the truck that had it originally, but after taking my console out, I only had one of them. Anyone have the solution to this? I have USB ports that work in my jump seat portion, but the ones up front are what connect to the apple play and all that. Hate to lose the 2 ports up there.

I just did this yesterday in my 22 Big Horn. Were you able to figure anything out?

For the time being I took the wiring harness out of the center console that was in my truck and used that to power the front USB and 110v outlets. The only downside to this is I have no power to the outlet in the jump seat now because that black H shaped plug is used to power the console harness and there is a bunch of excess wires behind the pullout drawer now so that doesn't function the best. I would like to make this right but not sure how to go about doing it. Maybe @Jimmy07 has a solution?
