2019 Ram Mega Cab 4x4 6.7 4500miles
while towing a small trailer approximately 3500lbs my low fuel light came on at 1/8th a tank with 50 miles till empty,
truck started to miss like it was running out of fuel, jerking as it tried to make power. kept steady throttle and you could feel it fighting to keep going, got off the main road and hit a spinx fuel station. "Ladson SC" tank showing 1/8th still and 40mpg till empty. Filled truck and it only took 25.5 gallons to top of the filler neck. rocked truck and fuel level didn't drop much. so that lets me know there should have been about 5.5 gallons of fuel left in the tank.
OK that was a little weird but ok, trucks filled and down the road I go. but now its clacking like the old noisy fuel injectors during light to moderate throttle. shut down the engine and did a few cycles of the lift pump, fired it up and was not as loud but still noticeable. anyone ever notice anything like this on their 5th gen 6.7? ideas thoughts?

I heard the electric fuel pump in the tank is kept cool by the fuel in the tank, and you probably shouldn't let it go to far below 1/4 tank, maybe pump was heating up?? Maybe you got some poor fuel from that station?

If you sucked air through the CP4.2 it may have been damaged.

Get it checked out and keep your mouth shut about the fuel issue.

Hope you save your receipts.

I have every fuel receipt from day one. engine tech at dealer who went over engine with me noted I should use HS EDT due to the CP4 issues so I have used 1oz of HS EDT at every fuel up.
