TransferFlow states their 46gal fuel tank for Hemi is only certified for use in 2021-2024 due to changes in the Evap system; with no intention to certify/make a version for 2014-2020 due to cost of certification (surprising to me; since thats leaving a lot of 6.4 owners out in the cold; and 4th Gen’s are still immensely popular)
Anyone with more technical specs/hands-on experience able to enlighten on what these changes entailed? Would it be possible/feasible to update components on a pre-2021 truck with bits from a 2021 to allow this tank to work? Or modify the tank hoses to work with pre-2021 Evap system (which I would imagine if anything is less complex)

From TransferFlow:
The Gen 5 Rams have a similar fuel system, but not identical. The main change from the pre-2021 is the emission system. The short of it, our tank is not emission certified for pre 2021 Ram gas trucks.
We will not be making a kit for the pre-2021 as the cost involved with certification is immense.
We are required by Federal law to manufacture our tanks to DOT standards and have EPA, emission, and state-specific standards that we have to adhere to.
What all this means; the tank may physically fit but the lines don’t match up, and it doesn’t have all the stickers and paperwork making it legal.
