Fuel Filters 2023 RAM 6.7

What are you using for fuel filters?
I recently ordered a WIX package on Amazon with the 2 fuel filters and an oil filter. The rear filter was spot on. I know the oil filter is correct. The under hood oil filter/water separator was totally wrong.
It's listed as:

• Compatible with Dodge Ram models 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 from 2019 to 2024 with 6.7 L Diesel Cummins
• Includes (1) WF10255NP Wix Fuel filter Element replaces 68157291AA, 68065608AA, FS53000
• Includes (1) WF10579 Wix Cartridge Fuel Water Separator replaces 68436631AA

I see no water separator. The filter was totally different and would not fit.

This really pissed me off.
Meanwhile the truck is sitting with the hood up. Hopefully I get the new filter today.

I ordered a Mopar 6815 7291AA, Fuel Filter which looks correct. Just verifying. Thanks, Bob

How many miles are you getting on your fuel filters? I'm at 11,000 miles and down to 13%! I'd think I could get a lot more miles out of them than that. Has anyone added a auxlillary filter ahead of the factory units?

I wouldn’t trust any fuel filters off Amazon, they have been known to sell counterfeits.

Get OEM filters from Geno’s garage.

Fuel filters should last 15K miles.

While some companies have kits and claim improved filtration with add on filters the OEM setup is top notch and difficult to beat. I haven’t seen anything in the aftermarket world that improves the OEM setup.

It was definitely a WIX filter, not counterfeit. I've used WIX for over 30 years, this was the first time I ever got a wrong filter from them. I got a MOPAR filter and will use that. I got the MOPAR off Amazon. It's not a Counterfeit. And yes, I also buy from GENOs.

Wix is, and always has been, a poor choice for fuel filters. I haven't ever seen a wix fuel filter meet the filtration specifications of the filter they are crossing to, that's not something worth running on a $10K+ fuel system that runs at ~30K psi.

You would also be surprised at how good the counterfeit filters are. Some of them are practically indiscernible.
