2020 130K miles and I need to replace front wheel bearings again. I'm not even towing anything I use it as daily driver. Mostly highways. Which brand do you recommend? Should I go with Mopar? Also should I replace both sides or just the one I know for sure needs replacement?

How many miles did originals last?

What brand did you use to replace the original wheel bearing s?

I’m at +92k miles on the original ones.

What size tires are you using?

It would be worth it to me to replace both for peace of mind.

Moog have been good as OEM Nissan on the work truck, I’d say. Went through some Amazon cheapies fast…

My 2022 OEM’s cratered at 55k miles.

Got a set from 1A auto with a lifetime warranty, and so far so good, but I’m still not entirely convinced.

I replaced originals at 95K 18" BFGoodRich All Terrain T/A KO3

SKF via NAPA is what I'll be installing on our 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins this week. 3rd set. What is currently on the truck are from a tire shop with the brand being unknown. NAPA sells a cheaper set, but this truck is used often across Wyoming gravel roads with 35 inch tires.

I've got 95K on my PW and been running 35s since 200 miles. Been off road a lot. So far, I'm still on the originals.

Just to be specific ( I found the receipt) the originals ones were replaced at 94411 miles and were replaced with Mopar wheel hub assembles in March of 2024. I can't believe they failed already. Shop conformed this yesterday. Since they come with one year warranty Mopar won't cover them.
Unless shop did not used Mopar parts? How can I tell if the wheels hub assembly is made by Mopar? Should there be a number or logo stamped somewhere?
Also is it possible the bearings are failing quickly because I drive mostly on highway now with speeds up to 80MPH ? Tires are LT275/70R18 BF Goodrich ALL Terrain T/A KO2

Parts quality these days is junk in general.

I’m not sure how to identify a true mopar wheel hub, but I am sure that even if they are mopar, they are still susceptible to short lifespans. We have been blowing through them on the work vehicles for the last few years.

It seems they use bearings from same supplier since they fail so quickly. I think I'm going to swipe them for new ones and keep the old core and when I have time just replace the bearings and keep them just in case. Don't want to pay $800 a set each time I need to change them

My original passenger side failed around 50K with tire wear issues and droning noise. I replaced with a bearing from carquest I believe. It was chinese (sad) but did look to be high quality. I am going to see if SKF makes them for our trucks. I know they do for 18 and older trucks.

$800?! The assembly is $150 (moog) I haven’t changed one but it looks like a big unit bearing which means it’s ez pz to swap.

They aren’t difficult or time consuming as long as ya got a big ugga-dugga to bust the axle nut loose.

I did mine in a little over an hour.

Super easy replacement. Less time than doing the brake pads. Need a good impact for the hub nut but otherwise easy. Reinstall with light antisieze because you're gonna eat another bearing at some point. Mine was so bad when I swapped it out that you could grab the tire at 12 and 6 and feel the movement in the bearing.

Some shops use an impact wrench to tighten the axle nut. I believe this can potentially cause the bearing to wear prematurely.

From our AI buddy(taken for what you paid for it!). I’m not sure of the socket size but I remember the spec being over my Snap On wrench’s limit.
