I'm trying to fine tune the ride height on our new 3500 to better suit towing out 5th wheel trailer.
Truck is all stock 3500 CTD CCLB 2WD with factory rear air suspension.

I've positioned the pinbox height for adequate clearance to the bed rails, also adj the sensor linkage on the rear air suspension so that both sides are exactly the same height when loaded and hitched.
While towing I set the rear suspension to "Alt Trailer Height" which makes the truck very close to level, but still a little high on the back (low on the front).

I have no need for bigger tires or a lift kit, but I do want to raise the front end a bit, no more than 1"
I've emailed Andrew @ Thuren and asked about their .5" springs, he replied that the 2WD and 4WD trucks use the same springs and stated that I would need to install shocks that are 25.5" extended and 16.5" collapsed .

I removed one of the front OEM shocks and they measure 21.6" extended.
I can understand needing to install a longer shock to handle the slightly longer spring, but I don't understand the need for a shock that is nearly 4 inches longer than stock.

I would appreciate some feedback from those who have experience doing something similar to what I'm trying to do.

Thanks
