2016 2500, the front passenger side shock keeps failing after less than 50k mi. I replaced them again over the summer, and it's currently sagging 1" lower than the driver side. Any thoughts on why this keeps happening?
~ Mostly highway driving.
~ Last "repair" I installed a 4" lift w/ all new shocks and front springs.

Less than 50K? Shocks don't last 50K.

Shocks don't make one side sag.

Sounds like something else and also is it possible the shocks are too long and bottoming, or too short and stroking out past the limit?

Shocks are usually finished at 50k miles some can last longer but not often does that happen so sounds like nothing is wrong there the lean is not related as shocks dampen only they dont hold the truck up

As mentioned sag is a spring problem or maybe even caster. What brand shocks are you using??

I put on a super lift 4", w/ Bilstein shocks and new coils in July of 2022. It's closer to 10-15k miles driven since then. It was about 6 months before that (approximately the same 10-15k mi) , I put on another new set of Bilstein's, and they did the same thing. Driving me to do the lift kit w/ new coils (that's what I thought it was too) and new shocks. But here I am again???

This is the link for the kit I added.

Flan, talk to me more about caster if you would.

Caster is adjusted with a cam bolt located on your radius arms. If off it would make one side appear lower that the other. Bilstein is a good brand, as ho asked, do you have the proper shock for your setup?

Thanks. I trusted that the shocks provided with the kit were correctly sized. I will double check that though.
