Front bumper swap....

Has anyone switch out there front bumper I like how this one looks from Hooke Road, but wanted to ask about actual mpg loss and any other drawbacks?

I have not but I do like the way it looks. I would think you would not lose much if any mpg’s just because of the bumper.

Messing with the front air dam nets measurable MPG loss.

With that being said.. aftermarket bumpers look tough and this ain't a Prius.

This may or may not be true, but it begs the question “why do manufacturers put them on most vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans)?”

There’s got to be a good reason, otherwise why spend the money to add an ugly piece of plastic to the bottom of the bumper? Improved fuel economy is almost certainly the reason.
